David’s presales history (23+ years) and recent experience managing Consensus (3 years) led him to found Demo Strategy – Helping clients maximize their investment in Consensus.

David got his start in presales as the first sales engineer hired at Perceptive Software. (Document management, imaging, and workflow). The early days included on-site live demonstrations featuring rapid integrations to live systems.  In the morning, we would set up the integration and, in the afternoon, demonstrate ImageNow integrated into their core systems, replacing paper workflow processes with an easy-to-use digital transformation alternative. 

Strategic Account Sales Engineer. For this role, David provided deeper strategic planning and a consulting approach for notable opportunities. These engagements involved:

  • Extensive customer process discovery efforts.
  • Pilot or Proof of Concept implementations.
  • Collaboration with Perceptive Professional Services, Support, and Development teams.

Principal Sales Engineer. Here the focus was on select accounts, international expansion and strategic projects.

  • Provide Strategic planning and consulting in a pre/post sales role regarding the use and applicability of Enterprise Content Management and Business Process Management for select accounts, and strategic projects.
  • Provide in-depth discovery of customer needs to facilitate on-site proof of concept demonstrations.
  • Developed and delivered demonstrations to prospective and current healthcare customers to audiences including senior-level executives, management, end users, and IT.
  • Supported the Perceptive international healthcare expansion (UK, South America).
